Ana & Ethan’s July wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club was more than I could have imagined! Everything about this eastern shore waterfront wedding was perfect, from the vendors to the location and the couple themselves!
Ana and Ethan originally planned to wed in October 2020 with a larger guest count of 150 or more. But like many couples planning 2020 weddings, they decided to postpone their nuptials until the summer of 2021. After a year of planning and re-planning, Ana decided to look for a wedding planner to help relieve some of the stress. Thankfully Ana found my listing on My Eastern Shore Wedding and reached out. Ana’s bubbly personality shined through on our first consultation call. I was so happy she & Ethan chose me to coordinate their special day.
The new date they chose – July 3 – was a hot holiday weekend. Due to Maryland COVID restrictions, Ana and Ethan opted for a smaller guest count. Luckily, they could utilize several spaces at their venue for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. As restrictions began to lift, we worked with the venue to make changes to the general flow of the event. We landed on an outdoor ceremony with cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing taking place indoors. Most importantly, the weather played along with our new plan. A light shower drizzled during their outdoor ceremony and the downpour of rain held off until everyone was inside enjoying dinner.
Ana chose an awesome florist, Darling & Daughters. They shifted the color palette from the original fall color scheme to a beautifully fun & fresh palette of blues with pops of corals & yellow. Adding in sea glass elements, pampas grass, and ginger jars completed Ana’s wish for a coastal boho vibe. The ceremony space was kept simple graced with a naturally charming floral ground arch. Due to the smaller guest count, I created a layout that allowed the room to feel more intimate. I worked with the florist to determine where we could place tall centerpieces to add interest to the space.
There were so many special moments from Ana & Ethan’s eastern shore waterfront wedding day. From watching Ana’s parents walk her down the aisle, and sending the couple off through their grand bubble exit, it was certainly a summer day to remember!
Kind words from the couple: “Syreeta!!!!!! THANK YOU for everything that you’ve done for us! We had nothing but compliments on our vendors, wedding, and planner! You made it a dream come true, and we could not have done it without you! Thank you so much.”
