As a Maryland wedding planner, I couldn’t have asked for a better day for a beautiful outdoor Eastern Shore wedding!!
Heather and Stephen were married on September 5th in a beautiful outdoor wedding on the Eastern Shore, surrounded by family & friends. Stephen proposed in October 2019 and by January of 2020, Heather had found my vendor listing on My Eastern Shore Wedding and scheduled time for us to chat. During our consultation call, we were able to confirm that my month of coordination package was the best fit for them.
Heather & Stephen met while in college in Virginia. They now reside on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, where they enjoy outdoor activities and spending lots of time on the water. When they are not busy with their careers – Heather, a bank manager, and Stephen, owner of his own construction company – they enjoy hanging with friends and spending lots of time with their pup, Jeter.
Heather & Stephen’s wedding took place at a beautiful private home of a friend. The home’s breathtaking location right on the Chesapeake Bay was the perfect backdrop for their laid-back wedding and tied directly into their love for the water & all things Eastern Shore. Their wedding in early September made for the perfect late summer day. The sun shined bright the entire day, setting the scene for a picturesque sunset on the bay. To be sure the view was the main attraction, the décor was kept simple and elegant. The mother of the bride made all the florals for the wedding, including the wedding party florals, table centerpieces, and the beautiful florals on the arbor. I was able to contribute some glass cylinder vases and mercury glass votive holders to help complete the design. The groom also left his mark on the day by building the arbor and the wooden cupcake stands for the reception.
The colors for the wedding were navy and burgundy, elegantly worn by the wedding party. The ladies were all dressed in burgundy gowns of different styles, while the guys opted for navy suits. The groom made sure to stand out in a burgundy jacket from Generation Tux that fit him perfectly! The bride wore a stunning Morilee gown from Irini’s Originals. The low back of the gown was perfectly accented by a beautiful back necklace, and matching teardrop earrings and necklace from Amy O Bridal.
The ceremony overlooking the bay was simply stunning. After a couple of heartfelt readings from friends, the bride & groom exchanged vows and rings. Their officiant closed out their ceremony with an Irish Prayer. After the ceremony, guests headed to cocktail hour for some yummy treats catered by the Fish Whistle restaurant. With an eastern shore favorite – mini crab cakes – the Fish Whistle couldn’t go wrong! The buffet-style dinner was followed by cupcakes and hand-dipped ice cream! Everyone partied the night away to classic hits as the sunset on this beautiful outdoor eastern shore wedding.
